5 Coolest Places to Visit in the US

There are lots of lists out there that measure places in the USA by different criteria, be it the biggest, the most beautiful, or the oldest. However, it is hard to round up the coolest towns. Why? Because “cool” is such a strange elusive notion. Of course, the main thing making communities cool is the people. Here is a list of 5 places in America that have a special vibe you might enjoy if you’re looking for great vacation spots.

Traveling to USAAsheville, North Carolina

This cute little place might seem very affluent, but it has not been so till the 80’s. That’s when a group of local visionaries decided to lead their hometown to economic glory. Now, the town is popular for its festivals, boutique hotels, and amazing beer scene. It’s also a great place for those who love kayaking, hiking, and other outdoorsy stuff.

Frisco, Colorado

This is not strictly a ski town, but all the big mountains are just 10-20 minutes away. It also has an advantage over all the other great vacation spots in the mountains, because not that many tourists bombard it in winter. In summer, you can try fishing, camping, and even sailing, all while enjoying a perfect weather.

Laguna Beach, California

You can’t travel across America without visiting Californian Riviera. Laguna Beach has one of the prettiest coastlines in the world. It also has a small, but thriving artistic community that adds a special bohemian feel to the town. Visitors can come at particular dates to enjoy the Sawdust Festival or Art-A-Fair.

Missoula, Montana

This town is the heart and soul of Montana. It’s also really close to national parks, rivers, and recreation areas. This place has more hipsters than some people would be comfortable with, but most of them are PhDs at the same time which improves the situation somewhat.

Marfa, Texas

This place is famous for Marfa lights, which is an alleged paranormal sighting of bright lights in the sky. In addition to being infested by aliens, Marfa is home to an impressive culture scene. If you are a nature lover, the Big Bend is really close by and already for you to enjoy.

There are so many fabulous places to visit while you travel across America that one list cannot do them justice. So, before going to Europe or the Bahamas, think about all the national destinations waiting to impress you.
